ScamExposed offers independent, educational scam-awareness guidance. How it works

How the Scam Checker Works

ScamExposed helps you pause, examine suspicious information and understand potential risk indicators. It is an educational, pattern-based tool—not a live police, regulator, business-registry or platform lookup.

A clear, cautious process

1. Choose what you are checking. Select a website, email address, phone number, message, company, social profile or investment opportunity.

2. Provide only what is needed. Do not submit passwords, one-time codes, payment-card details, identity-document numbers or any information you are not entitled to share.

3. Review the signals. The checker explains potential red flags in plain English and suggests safer next steps. A low-risk result is not a guarantee that something is legitimate.

4. Verify independently. Contact organisations through details you find yourself. If money or account details are involved, contact your financial provider immediately through an official channel.

What the checker can and cannot do

Website, email, phone and message assessments use pattern-based heuristic analysis. Company, social-profile and investment assessments include user-supplied questionnaire responses and guidance until live data connections are introduced. ScamExposed does not claim to verify a person, business, account or website, and it does not file reports or recover money.
