A job offer should survive independent checks

Fake recruiters may copy a real company name, promise unusually high pay for little experience, conduct interviews only by text or ask you to act quickly. Task scams may show a dashboard with apparent earnings before asking for a deposit to unlock work or withdraw funds.

Never pay to start a legitimate role

Be cautious about fees for training, equipment, background checks, cryptocurrency deposits, cheque processing or receiving and forwarding money. Use the employer’s official website to find its careers page or recruitment contact, rather than replying to the message that approached you.

Protect your identity

Do not provide banking credentials, one-time codes or identity documents until you have verified the employer and understand why the information is needed. Use the Company, Website or Message checker for a pattern-based review.
